We are an Aotearoa/New Zealand-based group of dedicated healthcare professionals, from a range of disciplines, who share a common interest in wound management. We are passionate about improving wound healing and we collaborate with organisations worldwide. All members are volunteers who share experiences, expertise, knowledge, and who network with other members around Aotearoa.

We are a registered charity with Charities Services and have Donee status with the Inland Revenue.

The Aim of the Society is to improve outcomes and quality of life for people with wound and skin integrity problems, by promoting and encouraging best practice in wound prevention and management across all healthcare settings.

The Society will achieve this by, but is not limited to:

serving as a recognised voice at international, national and local levels on issues related to wound healing and skin integrity.
advancing education on wound care and skin integrity at international, national and local levels.
supporting members' education and professional development through scholarships.
encouraging innovation in wound management by awarding research grants.
establishing advisory groups and collaborating with key stakeholders.
maintaining the NZWCS website as a hub for education and resources for both healthcare professionals and the public.
sharing information and newsletters with members.
participating in relevant national and international forums and contributing to guideline development.
